What are the responsibilities and job description for the Billing/Charge Analyst - Ambulatory Services position at Summa Health?
Formal Education Required
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Associate’s Degree or Certification in Healthcare Administration, Billing & Coding, or Medical Office Technology preferred.
- Two (2) years’ experience of medical billing, coding, or denials management
- Knowledge and understanding of billing processes
- Knowledge of revenue cycle
- General knowledge of CPT and ICD-10CM codes
- Knowledge of medical terminology
- Ability to perform multiple tasks and appropriately set priorities
- Ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing
- Ability to develop innovative ideas for billing workflows that create system automation and/or increased revenue
- Ability to effectively interact with populations of patients/customers with an understanding of their needs for self-respect and dignity
- Sedentary: Exerts up to ten pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently.
The salary range on this job posting/advertising is base salary exclusive of any bonuses or differentials. Many factors, such as years of relevant experience and geographical location are considered when determining the starting rate of pay. We believe in the importance of pay equity and consider internal equity of our current team members when determining offers. Please keep in mind that the range that is listed is the full base salary range. Hiring at the maximum of the range would not be typical.
