What are the responsibilities and job description for the Dir, Infrastructure position at Summa Health?
Oversees the network engineering team and the AICES architecture team. Drives optimization of Summa's networking infrastructure and application of infrastructure architecture standards and methodology. Ensures Summa's networking infrastructure is robust, secure, and efficient, supporting critical patient care and administrative functions. Reporting to the Chief Technology Officer (CTO) and providing guidance to Managers in the Infrastructure organization, ensures seamless alignment between Summa’s overall digital strategy and the enabling networking technology roadmap.
Minimum Qualifications:
1. Formal Education Required:
a) Bachelor’s degree in information systems, Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent professional experience.
2. Experience & Training Required:
a) Ten (10) years of experience in IT infrastructure roles, with a proven track record in network and infrastructure management and strategy, preferably in a healthcare setting.
b) Extensive experience in managing network systems, infrastructure architecture, and security.
c) Proven experience in infrastructure management and compliance.
3. Other Skills, Competencies and Qualifications:
a) In-depth knowledge of cloud and systems engineering, design, and implementation.
b) Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex system issues.
c) Strong leadership, extensive experience in networking architecture and management.
d) Ability to drive innovation and excellence within a maturing Summa infrastructure architecture discipline.
e) Familiarity with healthcare regulations related to patient data and privacy, such as HIPAA.
f) Proficient in creating technical documentation, including system diagrams and architecture designs.
g) Excellent communication and leadership skills, capable of guiding and mentoring a team of network engineers and infrastructure architects, in addition to providing guidance to Managers across the Infrastructure organization.
h) Strong project management skills with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
i) PC proficiency and knowledge of Microsoft Office products (Outlook, Word, Excel, Visio, PowerPoint, etc.).
j) Familiarity with healthcare regulations related to patient data and privacy, such as HIPAA.
k) Proficient in creating technical documentation, including network diagrams and architecture designs.
4. Level of Physical Demands:
a. Sedentary: Exerts up to ten pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently

Many factors, such as years of relevant experience and geographical location are considered when determining the starting rate of pay. We believe in the importance of pay equity and consider internal equity of our current team members when determining offers. Please keep in mind that the range that is listed is the full base salary range. Hiring at the maximum of the range would not be typical.
