High School Diploma, GED, or Equivalent KnowledgeExperience & Training Required : a. Successful completion of a sleep technology program associated with a state licensed and / or a nationally accredited educational facility or equivalent experience and documented proficiency for all competencies required of a RPSGT / RST.b. Certification within one year of hire by a nationally recognized certification board and holds either the Registered Sleep Technologist (RST), Registered Polysomnographic Technologist (RPSGT), or Sleep Disorders Specialist (SDS) credential.c. Scoring experience preferred (day shift)3. Other Skills, Competencies and Qualifications : a. RPSGT by the BRPT (Board of Registered Polysomnographic Technologists) and / or RST by the ABSM (American Board of Sleep Medicine)b. BCLSc. ACLS preferredd. Respiratory / Neurology background credentials preferred.e. Population Specific Competency : Ability to effectively interact with populations of patients / customers with an understanding of their needs for self-respect and dignity.4. Level of Physical Demands : a. Walk, sit, and stand for extended periods of time.
