Job Description:
The Teacher Assistant supports lead teachers in providing academic, enrichment, and social-emotional lessons. They also lead scholar development, guidance, and discipline. Successful applicants are those seeking to enhance their ability in the classroom and have experience in small group instruction and mentorship.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support daily lesson delivery in both morning academics and afternoon enrichment.
- Manage the class in the absence of a teacher and/or during lunch and recess activities.
- Foster positive relationships and serve as a mentor to students in their assigned class.
Requirements:
- 1 years of experience working in a school, community-based youth program, or academic tutoring program is preferred.
- Experience working in platforms such as Google and Microsoft Office Suites is preferred.
- Experience working with children is a plus.
