Job Overview:
We are seeking a Vacation Rental Manager as we expand in Culpeper, VA and greater area (up to 1 hours drive away.) In this role you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of property maintenance and ensuring that our vacation rentals are in excellent condition for guests. You will coordinate repairs and preventive maintenance, develop vendor relationships and ensure a 5-star experience for our guests.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Act as the point of contact for the selected area of Summer homes
- Adhere to Summer’s customer service and hospitality standards
- Inspect and resupply homes once per week
- Collaborate with the Summer team to ensure maintenance, hosting, and operations are all working together to accomplish 5-star guest experiences
- Communicate all relevant information to the Customer Experience Team, taking a proactive approach to guest experiences
- Ensure the maintenance and upkeep of vacation rental properties, including interior and exterior areas, equipment, and amenities
- Coordinate and perform repairs, preventive maintenance, and inspections to address issues promptly and maintain property functionality
- Manage relationships with vendors and contractors for maintenance services, negotiate contracts, and ensure quality workmanship and cost-effectiveness
- Maintain inventory of supplies, tools, and equipment necessary for maintenance tasks, and oversee procurement as needed
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations, codes, and standards, and implement measures to promote a safe and secure environment for guests and staff
- Assist in budget planning and management for maintenance expenses, monitor costs, and identify opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, inspections, repairs, and expenses
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Access to a laptop and phone to access the Property Management System (PMS) and relevant Summer software
- 1-2 years of previous hospitality experience preferred
- Proven experience in property maintenance management, preferably in the hospitality or vacation rental industry.
- Strong technical skills in HVAC, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and general building maintenance.
- Leadership and team management abilities, with a focus on collaboration, communication, and accountability.
- Knowledge of maintenance best practices, safety protocols, and regulatory requirements.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks and projects.
- Attention to detail, organizational skills, and a proactive approach to maintenance issues.
- Professional communication in all written and verbal contexts
- Ability to work well under pressure in an agile, fast-paced environment
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to change activity frequently and cope with interruptions

HOURS: Work is flexible, fast-paced, and on-call work requires you to be available.
Job Types: Part-time, Contract
Pay: From $22.00 per hour
