Operations Team Member – Distribution

COMPENSATION PACKAGE:

• $21 hourly compensation

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Operations Team Member - Distribution is responsible for (1) product transportation and distribution (2) event loading, setup and breakdown (3) product manufacturing and preparation (4) warehouse cleaning, organizational and efficiency tasks

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Assist in product distribution to retail stores with service at every stop including greeting managers, stocking and rotating products, performing basic freezer maintenance tasks at stores, installation and/or removal of freezers at stores when needed, collecting and communicating customer feedback and requests, maintaining positive relationships
• Develop customers base by creating and keeping good rapport with previous and new customers
• Assist in manufacturing and packing of the Summer Lakes Beverage product line
• Accurately follow documented standard operating procedures, preparation techniques and sanitation practices to ensure product integrity and safety
• Assist in maintaining facility efficiency, organizational structure, and cleanliness. Including areas of but not limited to, warehouse, kitchen, facility grounds
• Assist in set up, tear down, and restocking of events
• Show desire and aptitude for developing new skills and techniques required for the position

NECESSARY SKILLS:

• Excellent customer service
• Ability to operate company delivery vehicles in a safe and timely manner
• Comfortability with driving delivery vehicles for several hours at a time through both urban and rural areas, in all weather conditions
• Willingness to learn how to safely attach, detach, and haul a trailer with company vehicles
• Ability and willingness to fulfill the physical demands of the position which includes regularly moving, lifting and pushing or pulling objects and equipment
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Thorough and timely communications on all platforms (email, text, voice) with fellow team members
• Focus on customer engagement and building relationships

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS:

• Previous experience is preferred, in customer service, distribution/transportation, and/or hospitality industry
• Must be 21 years of age
• Valid drivers license

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY

This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

This position operates in indoor and outdoor settings. Outdoor events are held rain or shine. Work outdoors may have no protection from outside weather conditions. At times, the employee is required to function in narrow aisles or passageways. The employee may be exposed to hazards including, but not limited to; Cuts, slipping, tripping, falls and burns. Frequent hand washing is required.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear clearly. This position is very active and requires standing, walking, kneeling, reaching, climbing, balancing, pushing, pulling, stooping, crouching, grasping, feeling, fingering and repetitive motion. The employee is required to have close visual acuity. This position requires occasional lifting of up to 50 pounds.

POSITION EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK

• Full time hours. 32-40 hours per week
• Regular weekend availability (Friday, Saturday, sometimes Sunday) for working deliveries, restocking events, setting up and/or tearing down events, warehouse duties, production, etc.
• Ability to work longer shifts 8 hours during production, events, etc.
• Overtime is a possibility with time ½ pay
