All staff for Summer Learning Programs will report in person to a specific campus location.
This is a voluntary summer position.
Programs will be held on campus and follow COVID-19 safety rules.
Summer programs will continue to follow any and all plublic health guidelines regarding COVID, as applicable.
JOB DESCRIPTION
- Under the direction of an Assistant Superintendent- Student Services, conduct assessments of the psycho-educational needs of referred students
- Provide consultative services or techniques to facilitate student learning and development
- Provide short-term counseling services to special education students, as IEP teams designate, and regular education students, by agreement of the psychologist and site administrator
- Assist school patrons in gaining access to services from outside agencies and community service providers
QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS
Any combination of education, training and/or experience equivalent to –
- Master’s degree in educational or clinical psychology, including at least one year of internship under the supervision of a credentialed school psychologist
- Pupil Personnel Services Credential with School Psychology authorization
Please note that selected candidates will be assigned based on program needs. Selected candidates are expected to commit to the program for the duration of the assignment. Offer and continuation of employment is dependent upon level of student enrollment and attendance. Notice of employment will be sent to the selected candidates. Qualified personnel from within the district will be considered for placement. Should qualified personnel not be available, the district may accept candidates from outside the district. Per OEA contract Article 23.3.3.3, unit members will not be selected for more than two consecutive years. Should no qualified applicants apply, unit members may serve for more than two consecutive years.
