Position Title: Program Support Coordinator

Reports To: Deputy Director of Programs and Operations

Hiring Range: $50,000 - $53,000 

commensurate with experience

FLSA Status: Full Time / Non-Exempt  


 

General Purpose:

Scholars Unlimited is a non-profit organization that provides high-quality, comprehensive after school and summer learning programs to elementary school children in metro Denver. Our mission is to foster academic, social, and emotional growth for children living in low-income communities around metro Denver. We collaborate with school districts and generally provide our programs in the schools our students attend. Currently, our programs are offered in Denver, Aurora, Sheridan, and Westminster public schools.

The Program Support Coordinator will assist and support our program staff in administering high-quality programs. This position is critical in ensuring the smooth operation of our programs and their alignment with organizational objectives. This position will provide administrative and logistical support ensuring efficient operations and successful program outcomes. This role will work closely with program staff to achieve the organization’s goals and fulfill its mission. This position will report to the Deputy Director of Program Operations and Facilities. 

Essential Functions:

  • Assist program staff in the planning, coordination, and execution of programs.
  • Assist in maintaining detailed records of program activities, schedules, and participant information.
  • Support logistical needs such as booking venues, preparing materials, and coordinating transportation when necessary.
  • Manage the procurement, transportation, and inventory of materials, supplies, and equipment, including delivering items to sites using a personal vehicle.
  • Provide backup support by serving as a substitute for site staff positions as needed
  • Assist in monitoring program activities to ensure they align with stated objectives and organizational standards.
  • Support the Data Coordinator with collecting and managing program data, including attendance, feedback, and outcomes, for reporting and evaluation purposes.
  • Assist in creating and distributing program materials, communications, and promotional content.
  • Work with program staff to track progress toward program goals and milestones.
  • Collaborate on the development and implementation of tools to measure program success and impact.
  • Support the designated point of contact by assisting with program-related inquiries from site staff, families, and partners.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure program needs are met.
  • Contribute to program planning meetings and provide input on program improvements.
  • Perform other duties as required and necessary to ensure the success of Scholars Unlimited.

  • This is an in-person position. The Program Support Coordinator is expected to report to the Central Office in the morning and may be required to report on site(s) in the afternoon.

 

Compensation:

  • Hiring Range is $50,000  - $53,000  commensurate with experience

Qualifications


Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Education, Nonprofit Management, Social Work, or a related field is preferred; equivalent experience may be considered.

Experience: 

  • At least 1 year of experience in program coordination or support, preferably in a nonprofit or educational setting.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Consistently promote, support, work, and act in a manner in support of Scholars Unlimited’s vision, mission, and values
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills, with attention to detail and the ability to prioritize multiple tasks.
  • Proficiency in Windows and Google applications
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across diverse teams.
  • Passion for working with children and supporting programs that promote learning and personal growth.
  • Commitment to the mission of providing equitable educational opportunities for elementary school-aged children.
  • Bilingual in Spanish is preferred

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Must complete and pass criminal history background checks prior to the start of employment 
  • Must meet Director qualifications as required by Colorado’s Child Care licensing rules and regulations.
  • Must have a valid driver's license and reliable transportation, as this position requires travel between sites.
  • Must be able to lift and carry up to 40 lbs, with or without reasonable accommodations.
  • Must be able to sit and stand for extended periods of time.
