About Us
At Summer Trails Day Camp, we strive to create a fun and safe environment for children aged 3-15 years old. Our camp season operates from June to August, offering an 8-week day camp experience in Westchester County.
Your Role
As a General Counselor at Summer Trails, you will be responsible for a group of 12-15 campers, acting as their primary caregiver and leader throughout the camp day. Your duties will include supervising swim sessions, taking campers to the bathroom, reapplying sunscreen, and ensuring they drink water throughout the day. You will also manage behavioral issues, maintain a positive group dynamic, and participate in activities with your campers.
A Typical Day
Campers at Summer Trails enjoy a variety of activities, including swimming twice a day, athletics, creative arts, and outdoor adventures. We also host special events, such as vendor visits, theme days, and shows. Our goal is to create a close-knit community that feels like a summer home for our campers and staff.
