Description: Summerfield Farms is seeking a Logistics & Shipping Coordinator to assist warehouse optimization, shipping, inventory logistics, fulfilling orders, local deliveries & assisting with farm related tasks such as set up and breakdowns as needed.
Reports to: Accounting Manager & Farm Operations Manager
Responsibilities:
- Ensuring that all shipping operations from the warehouse are duly executed
- Receive the beef inventory from the processing plant using the policies and systems developed by the company
- Maintain the beef inventory controlled by piece o Maintain the water inventory controlled by pallet
- Execute recurrent counts to ensure that the inventory reflected in the system corresponds to the physical count
- Maintain control of the beef / water inventory that needs to be spoiled
- Control and communicate the reordering point for the beef and water
- Have a detail control of the exact position where the inventory are located in the warehouse (water) or the freezers (beef)
- The associate will also be responsible for the client satisfaction of e-commerce customers through flawless shipping execution
- This person is also responsible for communicating weekly updates on sales, organization, improvement ideas and cost management.
- Maintain shipping standards that have been outlined for optimal customer experience.

- Warehouse organization which implies that each item in the warehouse should be in a dedicated position. Warehouse monthly cleaning shall be organized and coordinated with the person determined by the General Manager
- Match on weekly basis the inventory reflected in the system by balancing the initial inventory, the units received, and the units sold
- Control the shipping costs by maintaining a database control of the cost per shipment based on the invoices issued by Fedex based on the orders processed in Shipstation which at the same time are fed by the sales processed by Shopify
- This position requires the presence after working hours and even weekends when the water container is received
- Fulfilling customers' orders and ensuring they are shipped out in a timely manner using the shipping options that are less expensive but at the same time do not compromise the quality of the perishables sold by the Farm.
- This position will support with weekly local deliveries and pick ups for farm needs & customers orders
- Supports as needed with the Farm Operations team with event set ups, breakdowns, & flips.
Required Experience:
- Consumer products shipping experience o Inventory management for at least 2 years
- Proven knowledge of retail accounting for inventory items
- Microsoft Excel Proficient in table tools and data analysis/matching of datasets from multiple channels
- Experience with Shopify & Ship Station
- Reasonable understanding of e-commerce business process triggers o Able to lift and carry 60 pounds o Appropriate health conditions to work inside the freezer
- Must be available evenings & weekends, when required
- Attitude to learn through the daily work and by self-studying
- Punctuality & reliability
- Proven capabilities to work under pressure
Workdays begin as early as 8:00 am and last as late as necessary during the peak sales weeks. Potential for alternative hours at off-site markets, festivals, and farm related events. Candidates must be able to thrive in a fast-paced sales environment and work well under pressure.

Pay: $14.00 - $18.00 per hour
