Key Responsibilities:
As a Lead Maintenance Technician at SPM, you will be responsible for:
- Conduct all business in accordance with Summerfields policies and procedures, Fair Housing, Americans with Disabilities Act, Fair Credit Reporting Act, OSHA, and all other Federal and States laws.
- Satisfies service requests per work order; enters at residents convenience, if possible. Cleans up thoroughly.
- Makes regular inspections of the grounds, buildings, plumbing, electrical fixtures, appliances, and major equipment; reports all needed repairs to the Community Director.
- Is available for emergency purposes; familiar with power, water and gas turnoffs, clean-out traps, fire extinguishers and fire hydrants; knows emergency contact numbers.
- Assists in maintaining inventory of tools, equipment, and supplies.
- Instructs staff on proper use and guidelines for wearing safety items.
- All other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
To be successful in this role, you should have:
- High school education or equivalent.
- Full-time maintenance experience / Familiarity with electricity, plumbing and carpentry / Working knowledge of HVAC systems and various appliances.
- Experience supervising multiple employees within a maintenance department.
- Work Hours: 40 hours per week with flexible workweek, including weekends.
- Competence in personal computer skills, keyboard, internet search, math, Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel, and Outlook as well as Summerfield software applications.
- Pre-employment drug test and background check required.
- May need to utilize personal transportation. Must have valid drivers license and automobile insurance.
