A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A GENERAL MANAGER
In this sales management role, you oversee all customer relations in each department and ensure high-quality service is delivered. To generate future revenue and referrals, you use marketing materials such as yard signs, door hangers, stickers, and business cards. You quickly respond to customer concerns and, as needed, make personal appearances with high-level complaints. Your admin duties include creating progress reports, completing daily paperwork, and verifying time cards.
To guarantee departments stay at the top of their game, you meet weekly to take part in sales and technical training courses. Making sure everything goes smoothly in the field, you supervise stock and order materials as needed as well as review the daily schedule and ensure the right technicians are on the job. You also oversee safety procedures and pull stock for next-day installs. Understanding that you must be available to jump into any department at any time, you stay prepared by keeping your tools readily available. QUALIFICATIONS FOR A GENERAL MANAGER
