What You Will Do as an Activity Aide

As a Stonerise activity aide, you will assist the Activities Director with the planning, coordinating training, administering of the activities and social programs for the center. Some of your primary responsibilities include :

Assisting the Activities Director with activities that will provide entertainment, communication, exercise, relaxation, and expression of creativity

Assisting with programs designed to fulfill basic psychological and spiritual needs of the patients

Encouraging hobbies and crafts among patients in groups or individually

Integrating activities with other services and care provided for the patients

Ascertaining from the physician’s orders any limitations that the patient may have in participating in activities

Assisting in planning parties, games, and encouraging patients to assist in planning (e.g., making decorations for holidays / special events)

Providing in room activities to patients unable to leave their rooms

Assuring the programs address and contain empowerment, maintenance, and supportive activities
