What are the responsibilities and job description for the 1st and 2nd shift Yard Hand/Forklift Driver position at Summertown Metals, LLC?
We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Yard Hand to join our team on day shift. The Yard Hand will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the yard, as well as the loading and unloading of trucks. This position is Monday through Friday 5am - 3pm or 7am - 5pm. Second shift 3pm - 1am.
Responsibilities
- Maintain a clean and organized yard
- Assist with loading and unloading of trucks
- Operate a forklift to move materials and equipment
- Perform routine maintenance on equipment
- Follow safety procedures and guidelines
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Experience operating a forklift
- Ability to lift heavy objects
- Good communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Working Conditions
The Yard Hand will be working outdoors in various weather conditions.
