What are the responsibilities and job description for the Continuous Improvement Manager position at Summertown Metals, LLC?
Summertown Metals is looking for a self-motivated individual for our Continual Improvement Manager. This is a full-time position which includes benefits such as medical, dental, vision, accident, cancer, critical illness, hospital indemnity, STD, vacation/PTO, life and 401k with company match. Ideal preparation for this position would be a Mechanical Engineering degree.
Job responsibilities include but are not limited to;
- Identify and implement CI initiatives in alignment with the company strategic goal
- Analyze and understand processes in various departments, identifying areas of waste and inefficiency
- Develop and execute improvement strategies, including change managements activities
- Conduct CI training and workshops for staff at all levels
- Work closely with other managers and stakeholders to ensure changes are implemented smoothly and efficiently
- Lead and facilitate cross functional teams
- Using a range of tools and methodologies such as Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing, or Kaizen to drive process improvements
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of improvement initiatives through KPI's and make necessary adjustments
- Maintain reports of CI activities and present progress to senior management
- Conduct at least 3 events each month
- Ensure KPI's are established for every department
