What are the responsibilities and job description for the Garage Doors position at Summertown Metals, LLC?
Summertown Metals is looking for a self-motivated person to join our Garage Door Department. This is a full-time position and comes with benefits that include medical, dental, vision, accident, cancer, critical illness, hospital indemnity, STD, Life insurance, vacation/PTO, and a company match 401K.
The job duties include but are not limited to:
- Garage doors and supplies are being stocked appropriately and safely in their designated locations.
- Inbound orders are audited as they are unloaded and packing lists collected and entered against current inventory tracker.
- Software is being utilized; all daily orders and shipments are entered into the system daily.
- Purchasing department is notified when stock levels are above or below standard stock levels.
- Openers, punch angle and supplies are being ordered.
- Job/Install scheduler is notified when special order doors arrive.
- Door location and information is kept up to date in Access.
- Sorting, documenting, and moving leftover/damaged doors out of warehouse is monitored daily.
- The warehouse and outside work areas are kept neat and orderly.
- Garage door products are stocked daily.
- Damaged doors and hardware are communicated to purchasing and scheduling immediately upon finding.
- Inventory count sheets completed and turned into Inventory Specialist once per month, or as required.
- Contractor’s jobs are staged and ready to go each morning. All jobs are staged with the proper hardware. Installers should be out every morning by 8am.
- Next day deliveries are inspected twice and check list signed, by 3 pm, to ensure all items are present.
- Installers and customers are satisfied with the quality of product sent.
- Installers are not missing items when leaving with an order
- Inventory is organized and accounted for
- Dead door area is neat and organized..
