Summertown Metals is looking for and individual to work in our Doors and Windows Department. This is a full-time position that comes with benefits, vacation time and a 401K with a company match.
Job Description: Window and Door Receiving
Job duties include, but are not limited to
- Window and Door Inventory Control and Inventory Receiving will maintain safety in all areas and consistent stock with minimal discrepancies or damage on outgoing freight.
- Clean and organize the work area so jobs are marked and staged for ease of night crew.
- Upload and check incoming freight against their invoice, sign ticket, and turn invoices into purchasing. Note missing or damaged items and have driver sign notation.
- Stock Inventory Level Monitoring/SPO’s walk doors (wood & aluminum frame, windows, house wrap, post bases, poly carbon, poly sheeting, felt, underlayment, etc.
- Tag or mark any materials that are special order that need a PO#.
- Stage outgoing jobs.
- Load windows and doors in a way to maximize efficiency unloading.
- Use processes and tools for unloading to minimize manpower.
- If material is damaged, notify purchasing so it can be addressed before payment is made.
- Advise on equipment and tools needed to be successful.
- Be aware of inventory items that could be damaged by overnight rain.
- Advise on more efficient processes when you see potential.
- Trouble shoot and repair material on-site and/or at jobsite.
