Summit 3PL is a growing logistics company specializing in providing high-quality services to our clients. We are looking for a Kitting Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will have a strong attention to detail and organizational skills. In this role, you will be responsible for putting together custom kits and welcome boxes for our clients, ensuring an efficient process from start to finish.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE THE FOLLOWING. Other duties may be assigned.
- Assemble and pack custom kits (e.g., gift boxes, promotional packages, etc.) based on customer orders and specifications.
- Ensure all items in the kit are accounted for, in good condition, and packaged securely.
- Follow assembly requirements to accurately meet client requirements, ensuring a consistent and high-quality final product.
- Maintain an organized workspace and manage inventory of materials.
- Inspect finished kits for quality control, ensuring proper packaging and labeling.
- Work efficiently to meet production deadlines, especially during high-volume periods.
- Collaborate with other employees and management to address any issues.
- Perform other duties as needed to support the company as directed by management.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: This job has no supervisory responsibilities.
QUALIFICATIONS: To successfully perform this job, an individual must be capable of carrying out each essential duty to a satisfactory level. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: A high school diploma or GED; or one to three months of related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
LANGUAGE SKILLS: The ability to read and understand simple instructions, brief correspondence, and memos. The ability to write basic correspondence. The ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group settings to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: The ability to add and subtract two-digit numbers, as well as multiply and divide by 10's and 100's. The ability to perform these operations using units of American currency, weight, volume, and distance. The ability to quickly learn new software as the company grows and expands.
REASONING ABILITY: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out simple one- or two-step instructions. Ability to deal with standardized situations with occasional variables.
