Purpose Statement
The job of the LEA Administrative Secretary is done for the purpose/s of providing confidential administrative and clerical support to primarily the Executive Director and the Business Administrator; compiling a wide variety of materials, preparing all manners of reports; researching a variety of topics, scheduling, phone calls, coordinating program logistics, filing and organizing of materials; supporting as the LEA liaison between the Board of Trustees and Summit Academy Inc, and any other clerical and secretarial duties assigned by either the Executive Director and/or Business Administrator.
This job reports to the Business Administrator as primary Supervisor. The Executive Director will act as a secondary if and when needed.
Essential Functions
- Prepares written materials (e.g. letters, memos, email, reports, board reports, bulletins, forms, labels, requisitions, contracts, evaluations, budgets, and calendars) for the purpose of documentation, written reference, and conveying information.
- Processes a wide variety of documents and materials (e.g. mail, office supplies and equipment requisitions; travel requests; credit card data input; state and federal requests, etc.) for the purpose of disseminating information to appropriate parties.
- Research of variety of topics (e.g. charter school state codes, regulations, etc.) for the purpose of providing information and addressing a variety of administrative requirements.
- Reviews reports, files, and other documentation for the purpose of ensuring accuracy, completeness and conformance to standard procedures.
- Clerical filing and other organizational activities to support the Business Administrator. (e.g. Bond Compliance-EMMA).
- Responding to inquires when requested by the Executive Director and the Business Administrator.
- Phone calls and scheduling
- Helps plan events on behalf of Summit Academy Inc.
- Monitors assigned activities and or/program components (e.g. contracts, insurance, etc.) for the purpose of compliance, and risk management.
- Data input (e.g.Clerical/Payroll input, Tyler Technologies, Aspire, and other internal software) for the purpose of ensuring financial and educational compliant regulations.
- Supports the Executive Director and Business Administrator for the purpose of ensuring the efficient, and effective functioning of the Charter School on a day to day basis.
Other Functions
- Performs other related duties for the purpose of ensuring the efficient and effective functioning of the Charter School (LEA).

Skills, Knowledge and Abilities
SKILLS are required to perform multiple, technical tasks with a potential need to upgrade

Working Environment
