Community Manager, Summit at Eastwyck
OVERVIEW:
Summit At Eastwyck is a 144 unit, Active Adult Community located in East Greenbush. As a Community Manager, you will oversee the day-to-day operations, ensuring the Community is well-maintained, residents are well supported, and financial objectives are met. You will lead a dedicated team, manage resident relations, and drive marketing efforts to keep the community vibrant and fully occupied.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Asset & Financial Management:
- Work closely with the Summit Leadership to develop and manage the Annual Budget, ensuring cost-effective financial planning and operations.
- Maintain an accurate monthly rent roll and ensure timely payroll reporting.
- Conduct assessments to identify areas for capital improvement within the Summit at Eastwyck property.
- Manage property petty cash and ensure financial controls are in place.
- Regularly inspect the property’s common areas, community rooms, elevators, grounds, and building exterior to ensure upkeep and safety.
- Conduct regular evaluations of maintenance operations for cost efficiency and quality.
Marketing & Leasing:
- Achieve and maintain a minimum occupancy rate of 95%, actively engage with prospective residents and ensure timely follow-ups and lead base management.
- Collaborate with the Marketing Team to enhance social media and marketing efforts, contributing content that promotes community events, resident highlights, and new initiatives.
Resident Relations:
- Manage and oversee resident move-ins and move-outs, ensuring a smooth process.
- Manage and oversee Resident Service Coordinator’s planning and coordination of Summit Connected Life Program.
- Address resident concerns promptly and effectively, fostering a positive environment.
Personnel Management:
- Supervise a team of on-site staff, ensuring adherence to company policies and procedures.
- Oversee staff training and development programs and manage performance evaluations.
- Hire and terminate staff in line with company guidelines, making recommendations for promotions or salary increases based on performance.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of three years of managerial experience in property management or senior living, supervising three or more staff members.
- Strong financial management skills with experience in budgeting and financial controls.
- Proven leadership ability, with the capacity to motivate, mentor, and manage a diverse team.
- Ability to solve problems involving residents, personnel, finances, equipment failure, emergency situations, etc.
- Ability to work effectively with residents, staff, and corporate leadership in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and ability to learn new software.
- Professional image compatible with Summit Senior Living – positive attitude, energetic, assertive, and ability to serve as a role model for staff
Compensation and Benefits:
- Full-time salaried position with minimum forty hours per week and additional hours as required – may include some nights and/or weekends
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $60,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
