Duties & Responsibilities
Execute, supervise, and provide guidance to a variety of activities offered, not limited to : Archery, throwing activities, aerial activities, fishing, and appropriate for ages 6
Facilitate short tours of the Sustainability Treehouse
Assist guests with activity scheduling and creating a seamless experience
Knowledge experts for on-site hiking trails, local adventures, and attractive family destinations
Assist the Camp Hospitality during laundry and housekeeping tasks
Maintain a clean, organized, inspected, neat, and safe work area
Any other duties as assigned by SBR leadership
Abide by policies and procedures outlines in the SBR staff handbook
Qualifications & Training
18 years of age or older
Outdoor recreation experience preferred
Complete USA archery level 1 instructor or BSA archery rangemaster (training provided)
Ability to learn basic aquatic skills (lifeguard cert preferred)
Ability to learn new skills in outdoor environment
Ability to use Microsoft Teams daily for work related communication and coordination
Be or become a registered member of Scouting America
Performance Results
Provide at least one memorable moment that matters to a participant
Contribute at least one improvement to Family Adventure program operations
Receive one or more Staff Appreciation Cards from staff or participants
Complete contract period with 2-4 positive experiences
Physical Requirements
Up to 8 hours a day of either standing, walking, hiking, and the ability to lift 50 lbs.
Can pass the physical exam and approved for SBR height and weight requirements
