Job Description
The OA Summit Experience Foreman plays a critical role in delivering our OASE program. This position is responsible for leading groups of participants through the program, supporting teams in the field, and ensuring the overall success of the program. The ideal candidate will possess excellent leadership skills, be physically fit, and enjoy working in a fast-paced environment.
This position requires strong communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work effectively with diverse groups of people. You'll also need to be comfortable living and working in a remote setting for extended periods and maintaining a clean, organized, and safe work area.
As a member of our Program Team, you'll receive comprehensive training and support to ensure your success in this role. We're looking for motivated and enthusiastic individuals who share our passion for the outdoors and our commitment to providing exceptional experiences for our participants.
**Responsibilities:**
• Lead groups of participants through the OASE program
• Support groups in the field when you are not assigned to a crew
• Instruct participants on proper and safe trail building
• Monitor the general health and safety of the participants
• Work with OASE and Summit leadership to address any issues that might arise
• Comfortable in remote setting for extended periods
• Maintain a clean, organized, inspected, neat, and safe work area
• Other duties or projects as assigned by SBR leadership
• Abide by policies and procedure outlined in the SBR staff handbook
Requirements:
• 21 years of age or older
• Member of the Order of the Arrow
• Must have or be able to obtain Red Cross Standard First Aid and CPR Certifications
• Preferred: Trail building experience
• Ability to use Microsoft Teams daily for work related communication and coordination
• Be or become a registered member of Scouting America
