Job Description:
The Chief Operating Officer (COO) is responsible for providing strategic leadership as the patient care executive. This includes overseeing all patient care functions and services within the hospital.
About the Job:
This role requires 5 years of behavioral health experience and 3 years of leadership experience. Acute psychiatric experience is also required.
Responsibilities:
- Manage one or more clinical and non-clinical departments to maximize cost-effective quality of services and drive patient care outcomes.
- Create an environment and culture that focuses on fulfilling the organization's mission, vision, and values.
- Lead a team of highly engaged members through hiring, orienting, performance assessment, motivating, training, scheduling, and coaching to meet department goals.
- Participate in strategic planning and corresponding development activities, including census building, regulatory preparedness, and quality improvement.
- Assist the CEO in collaborative efforts related to developing, communicating, and implementing effective strategies and processes.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Health Administration, Social Science, or a related field is required; Master's Degree is preferred.
- Five or more years' hands-on experience in the behavioral health field is required.
- Three or more years' supervisory/management experience is required, preferably in social/clinical services.
- Independent clinical licensure (LPCC, LMFT, LWSW) is preferred.
