What are the responsibilities and job description for the Project Manager position at Summit City Steel Erection?
Responsible for:
· Communication from G/C’s Project manager to our field.
· Ensuring all extra work is tracked down and billed.
· Reviewing job cost report to make sure work complete is more than the % of hours used.
· Relaying schedule information to SCS field/ superintendent.
· Hire Subcontractors/ engineers/ surveyors.
· Ensuring all job costs are coded correctly and to the job.
· Review our billing to the customer.
Tasks/ duties:
· Attend weekly job meetings
· Order materials when needed.
· Create and maintain project schedule.
· Help with billing on % complete each month.
· Help with WIP on % complete each month.
· Communicate problems/ issues with GC PM or Fabricator.
· Create RFC’s
· Create Delay of Work
· Submit RFI’s.
· Submit Submittals.
· Review shops drawings.
· Job budgets
· Let the superintendent know what cost codes are open.
· Estimating when needed.
· Review job expenses.
· Help create billing when needed.
· Visit your jobsites once every 2 weeks.
Expectations:
· Report to VP of operations, owner, CFO.
· 7 AM- 4:30 PM (may extend to be later depending on demands of tasks)
· 40-50 hours Week
· Available off clock via phone and email.
· Major decisions to be asked and answered by the owner.
· This is an office position; it is expected for you to spend 80% of your time in the office and 20% in the field.
