Position Overview:
As the Building Crew Foreman, you will be tasked with leading a building crew on the job site. This position requires the ability to communicate effectively with project managers, department superintendents, as well as customers. Planning and forecasting 1-3 days in advance to ensure the crew has all necessary equipment, materials, and resources needed to be successful is essential to this position. This position will also be responsible for maintaining safety protocols, equipment maintenance schedule, and cleanliness of the job site.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and manage daily operations of the building crew.
- Plan, coordinate, and delegate tasks to ensure project deadlines are met.
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to guide the team.
- Maintain safety standards, ensuring compliance with OSHA and company regulations.
- Communicate effectively with project managers, superintendents, and crew members.
- Manage materials, tools, and equipment to optimize efficiency.
- Track timecards for the crew and submit required job reports.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of two years of construction experience leading others.
- In-depth knowledge of construction procedures, tools, and equipment
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints
- CDL (or the ability to obtain a CDL within 6 months of employment)
- Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
