SUBSTANCE ABUSE COUNSELOR - Stanton, North Dakota
This is a full or part time position, with flexibility to work days and or evenings.
Our program offers a full spectrum of services from Level 1 all the way through 3.5 Residential
THIS POSITION IS A FACE TO FACE POSTION- or FACE TO FACE/TELEHEALTH
Summit Counseling Services is expanding our outpatient treatment services and is also opening a residential treatment unit in Mid/Western North Dakota. We are expecting this will increase the need for services in very rural Western North Dakota and we are wanting to be able to meet that need.
- Conduct assessments to determine client treatment needs, in person, telehealth, phone in a variety of different locations.
- Provide individual and group counseling, using variety of therapeutic techniques, to facilitate and maintain sobriety and wellness, to assist in growth and progress toward completion of treatment plan goals and objectives through face to face interactions and telehealth services.
- Develop materials for and facilitate client group meetings, relapse prevention, trauma, parenting, spirituality, etc., to assist in sobriety and wellness
- Assess client progress to evaluate success of treatment
- Maintains records and documents on clients and treatment progress as required by Federal, state, insurance/payment provider and Summit Counseling Services standards, regulations and policies
- Attend and participate in staff meetings to consult with other professional staff to ensure appropriate treatment, programming and client progress
- Refer clients to and consult with other support services as needed to ensure continued and appropriate treatment
- Conduct administrative duties to include progress notes and documentation, creation and review of treatment plans, completed in a timely manner according to program-specific policy and procedure, to adhere to applicable state, federal and agency regulations
- Provide and maintain reliable and prompt attendance, with the ability to work the schedule dictated by business necessity, to include evenings, on-call rotation and weekends as needed
