What are the responsibilities and job description for the Survivor Support Services position at Summit County, CO?
Description
The Survivor Support Services position provides on-scene advocacy to family members, friends, roommates and others as needed who have experienced an unexpected death in Summit County. Support staff provides support, resource and referral information for local agencies, including counseling, information on funeral homes, as well as general guidance as to what the next steps are in regards to the deceased.
This position requires 24 hour availability for on-call position. The shifts may be spilt into 6am-6pm, 6pm-6am or 6am-6am.
Typical Qualifications
- High School Diploma
- Valid Colorado Driver’s License
- Must pass background check including criminal history
