What are the responsibilities and job description for the Library Technician position at Summit County Government (CO)?
Library Technician position is open at the South Branch Library in Breckenridge. Must be available to work some nights and weekends. Under direction from the Branch Manager, the Library Technician operates the circulation desk, plans and facilitates library programs for a variety of age groups, plans and facilitates community outreach, provides customer service and readers’ advisory, trains substitute and volunteers, and works with the staff teams to develop a sustainable approach to library programs and services.
- Applicants must have excellent written and oral communication skills.
- An ability to provide a high level of internal and external customer service.
- A good understanding of technology including Microsoft Office Suite, Google Suite and Outlook, and a commitment to supporting the Summit County Library mission and goals.
- A college degree required, OR high school diploma/GED with a minimum of 3 years library experience.
- Must be able to pass a criminal background check.
