Are you a hands-on leader with a passion for environmental sustainability? Summit County Resource Allocation Park (SCRAP) is looking for a driven and skilled Foreman to oversee daily operations of our Landfill, Recycling, Compost, and Special Waste Programs. This is your chance to make a real impact while leading a team and working with heavy equipment! The foreman supervises the daily operational activities for the SCRAP Department. Ensures the Landfill, Recycle, Composting and Special Waste Programs are compliant with all federal, state, and local policies, procedures, rules and regulations and our current Engineered Design and Operation Plan (EDOP). Assists with the preparation and monitoring of the operational and capital improvement projects, and schedules employees for daily work. Responsible for operating all equipment related to the day-to-day operations of a Subtitle D Landfill, a Material Recovery Facility (MRF) and a Class 3 Composting Facility. The related equipment, which includes loaders, dozers, excavators, blade, compactor, roll-off truck, forklift, and bailer at the SCRAP. Operational Oversight: Manage daily landfill, recycling, compost, and special waste operations, ensuring regulatory compliance.Equipment Management: Schedule maintenance, troubleshoot issues, and coordination repairs for all heavy equipment.Staff Supervision: Train and oversee operators, ensuring safe, efficient, and productive work.Compliance & Reporting: Ensure adherence to federal, state, and local policies, including CDPHE, EPA, and EDOP regulations.Site Maintenance: Monitor and maintain landfill infrastructure, utilities, and grading.Emergency Response: Act quickly and effectively in emergency situations
