Summit County Mountain Retreats is looking for an experienced maintenance professional who is able to help manage, mentor, train, and support a growing team. We are a short-term rental company specializing in the management of individually owned homes and condos throughout Summit County. Our clients are homeowners that trust us to manage, maintain, and market their properties with a high level of care and attention to detail. Our guests are people that travel from around the world to book a stay at a property we manage.The Maintenance Supervisor will be expected to work closely with both management and our team of maintenance technicians. This will require you to use strong leadership skills and maintenance knowledge to support the development of other employees and drive the overall success of the company.
JOB DESCRIPTION
As the Maintenance Supervisor, you will have responsibilities both in the office and out in the field. Each day, you will complete unit inspections, repairs, and other general maintenance tasks at various properties as assigned by management. You will also be expected to act as the in-field supervisor for our team of maintenance technicians. This entails following up on completed service orders, helping other maintenance technicians complete service orders when necessary, and assisting with the onboarding and development of new employees. This position will also work closely with management to delegate and assign service orders, oversee various maintenance projects, and communicate any departmental needs or updates.
CORE RESPONSIBILITIES
- Troubleshoot and diagnose a variety of maintenance issues, including:
- Plumbing
- Appliances and other household electronics
- Cable/internet
- Electrical
- Painting and drywall
- HVAC
- Carpentry
- Works closely with management and maintenance technicians to develop their skills and holds them accountable to full, detailed completion of all service orders.
- Assists maintenance technicians with tasks in the field, as needed.
- Regularly spends time in the field following up on maintenance tasks to ensure they were completed according to company standards.
- Delegates and assigns maintenance tasks as needed.
- Assists management with the training and development of all maintenance employees.
- Actively participates in all weekly maintenance department meeting(s); coordinates meeting topics with management.
- Reinforces communication between management, the maintenance team, and other internal departments.
- Acts as a liaison with HOA property managers for the buildings in which we manage individual properties
- Assists management with the organization and oversight of “off-season” projects from start to finish.
- Works closely with management to evaluate weekly inventory levels and shop/vehicle organization; places orders as needed to ensure proper stock of supplies is maintained.
- Works closely with management to ensure spaces occupied by SCMR are kept to a high standard
- Helps foster a culture of safety among all maintenance staff members.
- Provides exceptional customer service to homeowners and guests by quickly addressing feedback in a complete and professional manner.
- Performs any other duties as assigned by management or ownership.
COMPENSATION
- $25 - $32 per hour

QUALIFICATIONS
- Must have local housing (Required)
- Valid US driver’s license and clean driving record (Required)
- Able to communicate in English (Required)
- 3 years of prior maintenance experience (Required)
- 1 years of prior management or leadership experience (Preferred)
