Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled GIS Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in GIS software, spatial data, and data collection equipment.
The selected candidate will be responsible for developing and maintaining geospatial datasets, completing mapping projects, and implementing GIS solutions for various county departments.
Responsibilities:
- Utilize GIS software to create maps, graphs, and figures.
- Develop and maintain geospatial datasets.
- Complete mapping projects and implement GIS solutions.
- Provide GIS support to all departments and groups in Summit County.
- Maintain spatial data and prepare written documentation for GIS functions.
Requirements:
- Graduation from high school, plus two years of technical training in computer science or an associate degree in computer science with a specialization in GIS.
- One year of responsible experience performing above and related duties, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
