We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented GIS Specialist to join our dynamic Information Technology Team. This role supports various county departments by developing and maintaining geospatial datasets, completing mapping projects, and implementing GIS solutions.
Salary Range:
- GIS Specialist I: $65,028.66 - $91,146.03/annually
- GIS Specialist II: $68,930.37 - $96,614.39/annually
- GIS Specialist III: $77,450.15 - $108,556.37/annually
Key Responsibilities:
- Utilize GIS software, spatial data, and data collection equipment to create maps, graphs, and figures.
- Provide GIS support to all departments and groups in Summit County.
- Maintain spatial data and prepare written documentation for GIS functions.
- Review and assign MSAG (Master Street Address Guide) and physical address accuracy for the local PSAP (Public Safety Answering Point).
- Research records of plats and property descriptions to determine property location, boundaries, and size.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Graduation from high school, plus two years of technical training in computer science or an associate degree in computer science with a specialization in GIS.
- One year of responsible experience performing above and related duties, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
