Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Low Voltage Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in low voltage systems, including installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of various audio visual, telecommunication and security systems. This role requires mechanical knowledge and the ability to work with power tools while adhering to safety standards and the National Electrical Code (NEC).

Duties

  • Install, maintain, and repair low voltage systems including cabling for AV, telecommunication, and security systems.
  • Utilize remote access software for system diagnostics and troubleshooting.
  • Conduct routine inspections of installed systems to ensure optimal performance.
  • Collaborate with clients to understand their needs and provide tailored solutions.
  • Operate power tools safely and effectively during installation and repair tasks.
  • Maintain accurate records of installations, repairs, and service requests.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, technologies, and best practices related to low voltage systems.
  • Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies while performing duties.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in low voltage system installation is required.
  • Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to work with various power tools.
  • Familiarity with the National Electrical Code (NEC) guidelines.
  • Proficient in using remote access software for system management.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Strong communication skills to effectively interact with clients and team members.
  • Industry certification such as Avixa CTS or CTS-I, BICSI RCDD, etc, are not required but should be included in application.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $24.00 - $30.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 – 50 per week
