Basic Qualifications:
- High School Diploma/GED or equivalent;
- Construction, Environmental Construction / Remediation, Drilling, and or other applicable experience;
- The following years of experience:
Assistant: 0-3 years of construction laborer/drilling experience.
Technician: 3 years of construction laborer experience and specialized equipment use.
Foreman: 7 years of construction site management experience and specialized equipment use.
Superintendent: 10 years of construction site management experience and specialized equipment use as well as experience with Health & Safety program implementation and client-facing communication.
Preferred Experience:
Additional desired areas of experience for Construction Assistant, Technician, Foreman, and Superintendent roles includes:
- Safety compliance experience and proactive mindset;
- Successful leadership of previous project work;
- Change order and submittal documentation management experience;
- Good communication skills;
- Subcontractor oversight experience;
- Scheduling and projection tracking experience; &
- Comfortability interpreting and implementation of specifications and blueprints.
Preferred Qualifications:
- TWIC card;
Pre-existing safety training, including:
- 40 Hour HAZWOPER training;
- Competent Person Safety Training;
- 8-Hour Supervisory Training;
- 30-Hour OSHA Construction Safety Training; &
- First Aid and CPR.
[Heavy equipment operation experience is preferred for Construction Foreman and Superintendent positions. Operators, Heavy Equipment Operators, and Senior Heavy Equipment Operator candidates should also inquire with the hiring team.]
Physical Demands & Work Environment
This role requires lifting up to 50 pounds where mechanical means are not available, extended standing or walking on project sites, climbing in and out of equipment, and working in confined spaces or at heights. Work conditions and demands may vary, with controlled interaction with heavy machinery, chemicals, dust, fumes, noise, and extreme weather. Proper PPE, including protective eyewear, gloves, a hard hat, and steel-toed boots, is provided. Effective communication, tool use, and adherence to safety protocols are essential.
