Job Description
A local multi-disciplinary engineering and consulting services firm has an immediate opening for a Project Manager to assist our Construction Materials Testing and Geotechnical Engineering Department. This position will provide project management and engineering support, perform and/or provide overview for geotechnical and materials testing projects, evaluate collected geotechnical data and assist with reports related to geotechnical exploration and/or materials testing projects along with necessary interaction with Structural, Civil, Survey and Environmental department managers or team members.
In addition, this position will be required to complete some field testing and evaluations of materials such as asphalt, concrete, soils and stone. This position reports to the Vice President and will work closely with the Senior Project Manager with coordinator of Field Staff, Client Relations, Proposal Development and Review, and Technical Engineering Skills.
Qualifications
Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering preferred; Engineering in Training License preferred; A minimum of 3-6 years of relevant work experience; Certifications such as ACI, ICC, Nuclear Gauage, Concrete Technician, and Soils preferred.
It is preferred that candidates are familiar with performing field activities such as field density testing (Shelby tube and sand cone), material quantification, asphalt testing, concrete sampling and testing. Applicants must have excellent written and verbal communication skills and a strong work ethic. Work schedule may include some weekends.
