Job Coach

Position Overview
We are seeking a motivated and compassionate Job Coach to join our team on a part-time basis. A job coach primarily works with individuals to help with employment goals by teaching job-specific skills, providing guidance on job strategies, overcoming personal barriers, and supporting them once they are employed. This often involves working directly with employers to ensure a smooth transition and ongoing success in the role. This specific role requires a Job Coach who is available on Thursday afternoons.
Key Responsibilities
- Individual Assessments: Evaluate individuals' skills, abilities, and challenges to develop personalized coaching plans.
- On-the-Job Training: Provide support and guidance to individuals after they start a new job, including coaching on specific work tasks and addressing challenges.
- Employer Communication: Collaborate with employers to ensure a supportive and accessible work environment.
- Goal Setting: Work with individuals to set realistic employment goals and track their progress.
- Barrier Identification & Management: Help individuals address personal barriers that may affect employment, such as anxiety, transportation, or learning disabilities.
- Advocacy: Represent the needs of individuals to employers and other relevant parties.
Qualifications
- High school diploma required, plus relevant experience.
- Associate’s degree in Human Services, Education, or a related field (Preferred).
- Experience in employment services, workforce development, or a similar role.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Proficient in Google Workspace and familiar with online job platforms.
