Overview
We are seeking a reliable and motivated Delivery Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods to various locations while ensuring timely and safe delivery. This role requires a strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to operate various equipment within a distribution center environment.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate delivery vehicles to transport goods to designated locations.
- Load and unload packages, ensuring proper handling to prevent damage.
- Utilize equipment such as pallet jacks, order pickers, and cherry pickers for efficient loading and unloading.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including tracking shipments and confirming receipt of goods.
- Collaborate with warehouse staff to ensure timely order fulfillment and stock management.
- Perform routine vehicle inspections and report any maintenance issues promptly.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies during deliveries.
Skills
- Proficiency in operating forklifts and other material handling equipment.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting as required by the job duties.
- Experience with order picking processes in a distribution center environment.
- Familiarity with inventory management systems such as AS400 is a plus.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in managing packages and stock levels.
- Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with team members and customers.
- A valid driver’s license with a clean driving record is required.
Mon-Thu 7am-5pm (hours will vary depending on need)
