STATUS: Full Time / Non-Exempt
REPORTS TO: Branch Manager
LOCATION: Brighton Branch
HOURS: 37.50 hours per week
COMPENSATION: The starting hourly wage for this position is expected to be between $23.50-$24.00 per hour. The actual hourly wage will be determined based on experience and other-job related factors, consistent with applicable law.
SCHEDULE: Monday 8:30 – 4:30 / Tuesday 8:30 – 4:30 / Wednesday 9:30 – 4:30 / Thursday 8:30 – 5:30 / Friday 8:30 – 6:30 / Saturdays 8:30 – 1:30
- Hours vary based on business need. Must be available to work 2-3 Saturdays per month.
Position Overview
The primary function of this position is to coordinate the completion of all aspects of Teller operations within the branch, ensuring the daily activities of the Tellers are performed in a timely, accurate, and courteous manner. Other duties include ordering and conducting cash management, as well as, providing leadership and guidance to Tellers through assignment of work, and by providing technical guidance and assistance with sales goals. The Head Teller must be a team player, and role model for others. The Head Teller will promote relationships and the credit union, by referring and selling financial products and services that best suit our members’ needs.

Essential Functions
- Direct Teller staff: assist in coaching, training and development of Tellers.
- Assist Tellers in solving member problems, serving as an operational reference.
- Encourage staff input on improvements.
- Build and maintain teamwork.
- Order and maintain vault cash.
- Schedule work hours and breaks for all Teller personnel.
- Make exceptions to policy as appropriate, and within authority
- Make appropriate and timely suggestions about products and services to members.
- Make effective referrals to other specialists when appropriate
- Meet sales goals as determined by management.
- Accurate completion of required audit logs.
- Adhere to credit union and departmental policies and procedures.
- Balance, maintain, and audit cash dispense machine(s), vault, ATM, etc.
- Audit ATM and cash drawers, according to policy.
- Investigate Teller losses, and institute a corrective flow of work.
- Research and resolve member questions, problems, and concerns by telephone, written correspondence, or in person.
- Assist with the coordination of day-to-day operations of the branch, in conjunction with the branch management.
- Mentor new Tellers and Senior Tellers
- Role model all expected behaviors to Teller staff.
- Update and document information learned about members on the system.
Other
- Ability to step in for the Branch Manager during times of absence.
- Assist branch management with any other duties, as assigned.
- Work overtime if requested by management.
- Complete monthly reports to be given to management.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma/Equivalency required.
- Minimum two- three years’ prior Teller and sales experience.
- Prior leadership experience.

Working Environment
- Must be able to sit and or stand for an extended period of time in a normal office environment.
- Occasional lifting required.
