What are the responsibilities and job description for the Fire System Technician (No Experience Necessary) position at Summit Fire & Security?
Summit Fire & Security, a member of Summit Companies, is a premier firm in the Fire Protection and Fire Life Safety industry. We are currently seeking a Pre-Engineered Technician to join our team in our Reno, NV office.
Previous experience in pre-engineered fire systems is a plus. However, we are willing to train the right candidate!
Essential Functions:
- Service, maintenance, repair, and installation of pre-engineered fire suppression systems, portable fire extinguishers, exit/emergency lights, and additional fire protection/life safety equipment as skills develop.
Job Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- mechanical skills including use of hand and power tools
- Physical ability to lift 75 pounds, work overhead and on ladders, climb/maneuver
- Ability to accurately complete electronic forms/documents
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
- Ability to travel
- Ability to work flexible hours including early mornings, nights, and weekends
- Ability to work independently, with a team, and report to management
- Flexibility to work rotating on-call schedule
- Ability to communicate professionally and technically with customers
- Ability to sell new account services to existing and new customers on the route
- Ability to maintain quotas as set forth by management
- Ability to meet deadlines.
- Existing knowledge or acquire knowledge related to industry fire and construction codes
- Ability to pass a drug test
- Clean driving record
