Job Summary
As a Food Service Director, you will lead a talented team of food service workers and manage all aspects of a food service department to ensure that customers and clients never miss a meal.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage all functions of the food service department and its resources.
- Lead and manage a team of associates, including hiring and training new employees.
- Ensure staff meet all culinary, safety, and sanitation standards and regulations.
- Budget for the department, including purchasing ingredients and meeting targets and forecasts.
- Collaborate with the district manager or other departments on technical and administrative dining service aspects.
- Address customer service needs.
Requirements:
- At least two years of experience coordinating food service operations.
- Previous experience with industrial cooking.
- Excellent communication skills and experience communicating with both hourly staff and company executives.
- Able to manage in a diverse environment with a focus on client and customer services and satisfaction.
- Experience with and knowledge of Microsoft Office suite applications.
- Nice-to-haves: ServSafe and/or HACCP certification.
