About the Job:
The Operations Analyst tracks and enhances data processing, analysis and reporting. The Operations Analyst will support the senior financial operations leadership team with data needs as they relate to each facility. The Analyst will pull data from a variety of sources including Salesforce, Great Plains, Medik, and telephony systems. This role will focus on regular reporting of financial, productivity, admissions, and business development, as well as market demographic analyses to identify new growth opportunities.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Melds data between financial systems and front-end operating systems to give management detailed understandings of performance by facility and business type.
- Generates operating reports and metrics in additional systems as required for management needs.
- Analyzes data from single and multiple sources and presents findings as required.
- Cleans & buckets data as needed in core systems to make cross-analyses faster and more functional.
- Maintains the technical integrity and functioning of Financial Operations data systems.
- Creates new technical and business processes to enhance productivity of data and analytics systems.
- Develops new Excel reports from Salesforce, Great Plains, Medik, Telephony, and other systems as used by financial operations teams.
- Creates new operating KPIs and dashboard to help understand and benchmark company performance.
- Works with management for analysis in special projects.
- Assists in gathering requirements and project specifications.
- Communicates project status and deliverables with co-workers, managers, and staff at facilities.
- Continuously strives for quality improvement by identifying and understanding issues, problems, and opportunities. Compares data from multiple sources to recommend effective approaches/solutions.
- Performs in depth Market Viability Analyses for Growth & Development Team as required for management needs.
- Works with data in other marketing and sales systems to understand territory allocation and activities value by business development teams.
- Reviews call data in facility-specific phone systems to improve patient call flows and admission operations.
- Parses data in Salesforce around admissions, business development, and conversion metrics.
Education/Experience/Skill Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in finance, statistics, or related field
- One or more years’ experience in healthcare analytics, financial analysis, or operations analysis required.
- At least six months experience with Salesforce or similar CRM strongly preferred.
- At least six months experience with Great Plains or similar accounting system strongly preferred.
- At least six months experience with Medik or similar patient accounting system strongly preferred.
- High competency required in Microsoft Excel.
- Healthcare industry analysis experience preferred.
- Flexibility and eagerness to identify, learn, and use new and changing technologies.
