Frequency
Teach the approved Summit School District curriculum based on lesson plans provided by the regular classroom teacher. |

Perform all responsibilities of the regular classroom teachers for students in the absence of the regular teacher. |

Implement the regular teacher’s assigned responsibilities, plans and schedule. |

Assess student work when appropriate and time permits |

Promote and maintain student behavior expectations conducive to learning, and maximize learning time. |

Prepare a summary report of work completed and the day’s events for the regular teacher. |

Establish and demonstrate positive human relations with students, other staff members and the community. |

Ensure the accuracy, completeness, confidentiality and security of all student information |

Comply with District and school lpolicies and procedures including meeting with assigned students at scheduled location and time. |

Demonstrates the commitment to build and maintain a safe, fair and respectful working and learning environment that honors the cultural diversity of students and staff. |

Utilize the Red Rover system to accept/decline/manager his/her work and schedule in the capacity of a substitute teacher. |

QUALIFICATIONS:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Hold a valid teaching license or substitute authorization issued by the State of Colorado
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:
- Experience with PowerSchool and Google Workspace
- “Highly Qualified” according to the Colorado Department of Education’s definition of a “highly Qualified” teacher under the No Child Left Behind Act
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
- Effective time management and organizational skills
