Receiving, reviewing, and documenting physician orders for our home health care company.
High-level customer service interacting with physicians’ offices to obtain orders via phone.
Essential Job Functions/Responsibilities
- Obtain specific physician orders for patients and upload them to a patient page in our EMR system.
- Ensure that physicians’ orders are accurately communicated to agency departments and staff.
- Demonstrate professional assertiveness when communicating with providers' offices.
- Report and/or troubleshoots missing or incomplete documentation.
- Utilize office and other patient care software, including Microsoft Word, Excel, Adobe and EFax
- Collaborate closely with outside physicians’ office personnel across various communication platforms.
- Maintain confidentiality of information related to patient and organization.
- Perform interdepartmental and external communication.
- Engage in team meetings and provide feedback.
- Develop and implement organization policies and procedure under guidance of supervisor(s).
- Attend in person trainings and meetings when necessary.
- All other duties as assigned by supervisor(s).
