Position Summary
Directly oversee Purchasing, Sourcing and Quoting teams. Drive profitability, efficiency and continuous improvement agendas. Provide leadership, purpose, responsibility and accountability to all layers of reporting teams and staff. Compile metrics and data reporting for department and supplier performance.
Knowledge, Skill Sets, Education, Experience
What you’ll need:
- Bachelors degree or equivalent experience and 5 years’ experience in an executive or management role.
- Flexibility to work scheduled hours and extra hours as required
- Operate a computer and basic software at a proficient level
- Excellent communication skills

- EMS experience a plus
What you’ll do:
- Hire, develop and lead a customer and company-centric team to quote, source and purchase components, PCB’s and assembly costs Interpret datasheets, assembly documentation, and internal files to verify polarity and part verification and package information.
- Ensure pricing of all products is competitive and achieves desired profitability
- Negotiate with vendors for best price and lead times
- Develop and maintain tools to improve cycle time and process efficiency within the business.
- Follow up on critical purchasing orders to assure delivery and cost objectives are met.
- Provide exceptional client relations by proactively contacting sales team and/or customer to resolve issues and to improve opportunity success rate.
- Communicate performance expectations and provide qualitative feedback to supply chain regarding performance of suppliers.
- Support gross profit goals by negotiating and controlling product costs, lead times, freight terms and purchase quantity requirements.
- Self-motivated with acute attention to detail, and the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously
- Track and report on all items involved in outsourced jobs.
