Position Summary
Execute machine programs and placement of Surface Mount Technology parts on PCBs to ensure that they fulfill the specifications of customer requirements. This is a working lead position involving operating machines while handling day to day lead duties and facilitating job oversight in tandem with the Process Supervisor.

Knowledge, Skill Sets, Education, Experience
What you’ll need:
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- 1 – 2 years’ experience in the field or related area.
- Flexibility to work scheduled hours and extra hours as required.
- Operate a computer and basic software at a proficient level.
- Excellent communication skills
2 years’ operating comparable machinery.
What you’ll do:
- Complete a job verification in BOM and PPJ files.
- Interpret datasheets, assembly documentation, and shop software to verify polarity and part verification and package information – for all jobs and/or Machine Operator I job.
- Transfer PPJ files to MyData machine.
- Perform job setup (trim feeders in magazine and tray components).
- Test components (LED’s capacitors and diodes) for correct polarities and rotations
- Inspect solder paste on PCBs prior to the placement of parts.
- Setup basic (less complex) layouts with preset fiducials.
- Create and test new packages (as needed) in the MyData machine for their job and/or Machine Operator I
- Create layouts for the complex assemblies (panelized PCBs and creating and/or making new fiducials)
- Ensure cycle time and run time is communicated to next department for critical orders.
- Lead by example. Maintain constant communication with Process Engineering, Coding and other Process Areas. Ensure methods of continuous improvements are driven.
- Assist leadership in Root Cause analysis for defects.
- Assign specific jobs to team members.
- Coach and guide team members as necessary.
