Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Medical Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment, such as a Level II Trauma Center or urgent care clinic. This position requires a strong understanding of medical procedures, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with healthcare professionals.
Responsibilities
- Assist healthcare providers with patient examinations and procedures.
- Administer medications as directed by physicians and monitor patient responses.
- Perform basic X-Ray procedures and Electrocardiograms.
- Maintain accurate patient records and manage medical administrative support tasks.
- Prepare patients for examinations by taking vital signs and medical histories.
- Coordinate patient flow within the clinic or urgent care setting to optimize efficiency.
- Educate patients on treatment plans, medications, and follow-up care as needed.
Qualifications
- Knowledge of human physiology and medical terminology is essential.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail in managing patient information systems.
- Excellent interpersonal skills for effective communication with patients and healthcare team members.
- Certification as a Medical Assistant (CMA) or equivalent is preferred but not required.
