What are the responsibilities and job description for the Managing Associate position at Summit Legacy Strategies?
Our agency is currently interviewing for a Managing Associate position in Austin, TX. There are many facets of this position including by not limited to focusing on recruiting, managing, and developing a team of Financial Representatives across various proficiency levels. The ideal candidate also has proven success in the industry with at least 4-6 years in a sales role. The ideal candidate is required to obtain an insurance license if they currently do not hold one.
Responsibilities
- Lead recruiting and training efforts to identify and capitalize on business opportunities in Austin, TX.
- Source and hire competent Financial Representative candidates in Austin, TX.
- Facilitate training and provide guidance to Financial Representatives, equipping them with the tools for success.
- Provide mentorship to Advisors.
- Monitor development and progress, and provide regular updates to the General Agent and Management Team to ensure the success and stability of each representative.
- Periodically collaborate with field personnel to assess and enhance their sales, prospecting, and referral capabilities.
Qualifications
- The ideal candidate should have 4-6 years of sales experience in the insurance industry, with at least 3-5 years in field management or agency distribution systems.
- The candidate will facilitate Joint Appointments with Advisors.
- The candidate will also aid in Accountability for new Advisors.
- While professional designations such as CLU, ChFC, or CFP are preferred, they are not mandatory.
- Preferred qualifications include FINRA series 7 and 66 certifications.
- Demonstrated success in firm building and recruitment is a plus for this role.
