At Summit Legal Aid, we are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Pro Bono Paralegal to join our team under the Private Attorney Involvement (PAI) Project.
The ideal candidate will have excellent written, verbal, and listening skills, as well as proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite. They will be responsible for identifying, referring, and managing client matters eligible for the program, recruiting private attorneys, and assisting with overseeing and managing private attorneys' casework.
Skill Requirements:
- Excellent written, verbal, and listening skills;
- Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel, and Outlook;
- Interest and ability to work with a diverse client population of varying social, educational, racial, and ethnic backgrounds;
- Demonstrated ability to work on a team, prioritize responsibilities, and manage and meet time-sensitive deadlines;
- Must be willing to travel, attend community events, and have a car and valid driver's license;
- Strong computer, administrative, reporting, and data entry skills required;
- Having connections among the local legal community is preferred but not required.
This is a hybrid position that operates in a professional law office environment. It may occasionally require carrying regular office supplies. The role requires the use of standard office equipment, software, and remote videoconferencing platforms.
