What are the responsibilities and job description for the Pro Bono Coordinator position at Summit Legal Aid?
Summit Legal Aid is currently seeking a Pro Bono Paralegal to join our team under the Private Attorney Involvement (PAI) Project funded by Legal Services Corporation.
The successful candidate will work closely with the Pro Bono and PAI Manager to identify, refer, and manage client matters eligible for the program. They will also assist with recruiting private attorneys, overseeing and managing private attorneys' casework, establishing pro bono clinics, and educating the public about the program.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify, refer, and manage client matters eligible for the program;
- Recruit private attorneys to the program with guidance and oversight;
- Assist with overseeing and managing private attorneys' casework;
- Establish, promote, and implement pro bono clinics;
- Educate the public about the program and its casework.
