Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Master Equipment Technician to join our team in Heber, UT. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the optimal working condition of our vehicles and heavy equipment, supporting our operations efficiently and safely.
Responsibilities
- Maintain, repair, and inspect vehicles and heavy equipment to ensure they are in good working condition.
- Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as cleaning, lubricating, and replacing parts.
- Dismantle and reassemble heavy equipment using hoists and hand tools.
- Diagnose faults or malfunctions using engine diagnostic equipment and technical skills.
- Examine parts for damage or excessive wear and inspect vehicles/equipment to verify standards have been met.
Technical Skills and Diagnostics
- Determine required repairs using engine diagnostic equipment, including computerized test equipment and calibration devices.
- Read and understand operating manuals, blueprints, and technical drawings.
- Fill out part request forms and order parts when needed.
- Make and complete work orders and maintain accurate records of time and materials required.
Assembly and Adjustment
- Fit bearings to adjust, repair, or overhaul mobile mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic equipment.
What You'll Bring
- 10 years experience in mechanic work, with a focus on heavy duty equipment.
- Experience with heavy diesel repair and maintenance, as well as hydraulic and electrical repairs.
- Knowledge of fuel systems, including diesel and gas.
- Ability to perform electrical diagnostics using a scanner and communicate effectively.
- Experience utilizing Microsoft Office and ability to manage a schedule and organize time.
- CDL Class A (Preferred)
- Must pass mandatory drug and alcohol screenings.
